These terracotta cazuelas are our smallest size measuring in at about 12 cm diameter. When entertaining, we bring several to the table filled to the brim with assorted tapas including olives, caper berries, and marcona almonds. It’s also nice to bring along an extra cazuela to hold the olive pits and caper stems. (more info)

These terracotta cazuelas are our smallest size measuring in at about 12 cm diameter. When entertaining, we bring several to the table filled to the brim with assorted tapas including olives, caper berries, and marcona almonds. It’s also nice to bring along an extra cazuela to hold the olive pits and caper stems.Our cazuelas are made in Cataluñya, near Breda, from a distinctive clay that has been in demand since the days of ancient Rome. Local artisans produce these cazuelas using ancient techniques. You’ll find the handles are entirely handcrafted and each dish is unique. A clear glaze is applied during the second firing stage and creates waterproof seal which is lead-free and perfectly food-safe. These diminutive cazuelas are 2.5 cm deep and can be used for cooking as well. Prior to baking, we advise that you soak your dishes in water for about two hours to “season,” and then your cazuelas are ready for the oven, stove, or microwave. Instructions included. (close) |
