I'm half Catalan (my Mum is from Barcelona, my Dad is from Texas) and I only get back to Catalonia about once a year, if I'm lucky, and miss it terribly. It will be so nice to enjoy these lovely sausages next week.

I am throwing a large tapas party for our young adult group at my parish, including Monsignor Filardi who has spent some time in Spain, and have timed it to coincide with the Nit de Sant Joan - or "Noche de San Juan" in Castilian - which is a pretty big deal in Barcelona. We will eat out in my back yard and have lots of candles, torches, and possibly some sparklers if the city council doesn't manage to ban them between now and then.

Naturally I am making a ton of Catalan dishes, so having these ingredients makes it wonderful not to have to try to come up with substitutes.
